WHO DELIVERS?
Let’s get this on the table: delivery is not just something extra that the florist tacks on to make more money. Delivery matters. Delivery is powerful! Delivery adds yet another layer of style and mystery to this whole flowery affair. In fact, it’s another major reason to work with the Pros. When they deliver to her at work, for example, she's not only pleased with the flowers, she's happy there’s an audience on hand to see her appreciated with flowers!
Florist shops specialize in flower deliveries. Sure, florists get flowers there safe and sound. But they do more: they send special vans to the door. A guy strides in carrying something precious, something unwieldly. He “delivers” – what? from whom? who’s looking? All this is thrilling – really, ask any girl!
Consider the alternative: you standing there with a stylish bouquet in your hand. You may look dashing, but where’s the drama? Everyone can see: they’re from you. This is not the dramatic moment she’s looking for. Let time stand still: have the florist deliver! Let your elegant little card say, “Thinking of you.” Let her co-workers flutter around, she wants this!
If appropriate, consider sending her flowers at work. This demonstrates to her co-workers that
she’s “someone special.” If you don’t think this matters, keep in mind that women have been known to send flowers to themselves at work, just to savor the feeling. Of course only you can know if this is the right thing to do, given the gal and the work environment.
Another great things about delivery through a local florist, whether it’s your local florist or a delivery in another city through a florist’s alliance, is that the delivery focuses on the flowers. If the temperature outside is ten below, the local florist won’t leave the flowers on the porch. They’ll normally take the arrangement back to the shop and arrange for delivery when there’s someone home to receive. Very important for a perishable product (that you just paid for).
