FLORISTS ARE THE GO-TO FLORAL PROS
Up to this point, our attempts to educate florally challenged men have been fairly low-key. Most of the suggested bouquets and potted flowers are readily purchased on familiar ground, such as the supermarket, garden center or various specialty shops.
And while buying flowers even at these familiar haunts may be embarrassing at first, it’s not “buying tampons for her embarrassing.” It’s more “buying a box of Cap’n Crunch embarrassing” when it’s fairly obvious from the rest of your purchase that you have no kids. But there will be occasions that take you out of your comfort zone, when converting a festive coffee can into a vase won’t cut it. There will be times when your bud is going to find itself in a florist’s shop.
Don’t worry. We know how to get you through it with your manhood intact.
When it comes to flowers, florists are the professionals, the A-Team. They’re the Navy Seals and
the Army Delta Force of Flora. These people do weddings. They fill entire halls with flowers. Even their shops can be intimidating at first, with the strange sweet smells and buckets of exotic blooms locked away in industrial strength fridges that looks like the vault in a bank heist film. Relax. Learn the ropes, and a florist can be your best friend.
